The Universal Law of Attraction states that what you FOCUS on, you are attracting into your life. Put simply, that means what we think and feel strongly about is coming towards us. You get what you focus on; if you FOCUS on what you want and IMAGINE yourself having it, then it is coming to you and if you focus on what you want, but on the LACK of it, then you get more of that etc. If you focus on your life as it is, then you get more of the same. Very often, we are convinced that we are focusing on what we want in our lives, but we are actually focusing on the lack of what we truly desire.
