The Law of Attraction is a Universal Law (that means it has always existed everywhere and it always will) and it states that what you FOCUS on, you are attracting into your life. Put simply, that means what we think and feel strongly about is coming towards us. You get what you focus on. If you FOCUS on what you want and IMAGINE yourself having it, then it is coming to you. If you focus on what you want, but on the LACK of it, then you get more of that and so on. If you FOCUS on your life as it is now (as most of us do), then you get more of the same (the good and the bad of it!). Very often, we are convinced that we are focusing on what we want in our lives, when we are actually focusing on the lack of what we truly desire. For instance, people may talk a lot about money (to use an obvious example) and what they would buy with it, IF ONLY they had it, but essentially they are coming from a perspective of LACK, that is, not having enough money!

This law is often associated with a film called "The Secret", which is a documentary DVD about The Law of Attraction. It is a mainstream, low-budget movie (made by an Australian producer called Rhonda Byrne, released in 2006, also transcribed into a book of the same name and widely available through booksellers throughout the world.

Essentially, it is a film about The Law of Attraction and how we create our  own reality with our thoughts. It now has an enormous following, especially in America, with news of it spreading mainly through the Internet and via word of mouth in the personal development world. "The Secret" is a fun, exciting and uplifting film, proving an excellent starting point to understanding The Law of Attraction.

Right now, The Law of Attraction is getting a huge amount of positive media attention, assisted by the very public support and endorsement of celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Noel Edmunds. "Cosmic Ordering" is another way of describing the process of working with The Law of Attraction and they are essentially the same thing.

In 2005 "What the Bleep do We Know?!" was released, which has also become an extremely popular movie. This is the "science bit" of The Law of Attraction, with a look at quantum physics and how we create our reality with our thoughts. This is part-documentary and part-drama, narrated and presented by our world's finest personal development experts, alongside leading quantum physicists, all of whom would appear to completely endorse The Law of Attraction.
